I'm wearing the Carlsbad wellington right now! Except mine is the style with the rubber cover over the toe. I've had them 2 years and still going strong. The calf starts off flexible and soft enough that it doesn't rub my leg raw. Ankle isn't so tight that my foot couldn't slip in, but not so loose that they flop around. I'll be getting these as long as they make them.

I got a wide foot, these are sold as wide. I bought 1/2 smaller size than I usually do (I just bigger usually.) These are snug. I just got the size I normally get, in a wide (steel toe this time). Lets see. I get these are cheap boots, but they look it.

I bought them in an 11 which is the perfect fit for my 1000 mile boots but I found that the Wellingtons were waaaaay too loose on the leg and flopped around on stepping as a result. Am I wearing them wrong?

Wolverine are made by Merrell, so if you know your Merrell size you're usually good to go.

I got a pair of Wolverines the same size as my Merrells.
NOT the same, though. Wolverines are snug to say the least.

Have a pair of these, I will say they're pretty terrible. There is almost no cushioning in the insole, and you feel way more than you should through the sole of the boot, small pebbles, slight surface imperfections etc.

No issues with the durability so far, but this is NOT a work or everyday boot you want to spend a lot of time on your feet in especially on hard surfaces. For occasional work needing a boot its fine.

You'll definitely want to buy separate insoles for them if wearing even semi-regularly.

Yes, you walk wrong.

Kidding. I do remember thinking they felt loose when I first was wearing them, now that you mention it. I guess my brain finally decided they're not falling off and now I'm comfortable in them. Well, if I were running in these, yeah too loose, but just walking around at work (no rushing, stay safe), I don't think about them.
