I just spoke with a rep he said the trade in is based on the model/year/condition. I have an old canon pixma and he said it wasn't an option for their store, but I could call other stores and see if they would accept it. Sounds like a gamble for really old printers.

Interesting my ET-2850 isn't listed on the trade in list, although I really like and would not do it in the first place.

This is expired now, but I don't think the list is what printers they accept for trade in, but the printers eligible for the discount when you trade in another printer.
