I was a bit skeptical that the charger could hold down 100 watts on the USB-C for a sustained period of time so I drained my MacBook Pro down to 20% and let it charge it all the way up. It was able to connect at 100 W and was able to sustain it up until the computer was 75% charged at which point it dropped, but I believe that is because of the computer gearing down. Thus, I am impressed by the performance. That said, it got super hot. It was around 130 degrees F on the sides and my laser thermometer got up to 157 degrees F on the lower USB-A ports at the back of the charger. It does emit a bit of a chemical smell (this is the first time I am using it) that is likely due to it being new and also me pushing it to the limits. Overall, I am impressed by the charging speed. The fact that it can actually do the 100 watts at this price make it an excellent value for the money. Thus, overall, I recommend. The only reason I don't give it that last star is because it got so hot and I did smell odd smells for it, but still impressed overall.
