I absolutely love this enclosure. I've been using it on my Mac mini M4 with a $39 2TB Samsung NVMe drive as my primary drive for over a year now, and it has never given me any issues. I consistently achieve read/write speeds of approximately 3100 Mbps.

"a $39 2TB Samsung NVMe"? Where do you find such cheap stuff? The lowest before the memory-price-insanity was in the $100 range for a decent 2TB NVMe...

Probably a pcie 3.0 nvme, which is fast enough for this enclosure.

This is overpriced and anecdotal experience isn't going to change the fact that enclosures are not complicated tech.

It was back in late 2024 before the shortage. Sorry, I just checked my order confirmation email and it was $36 after taxes.

It was actually a PCIe 4.0 NVMe.

Damn that was a nice deal. I got a few 2tb ssd's for $50+tax back in '23-'24 but they were low end dram-less.

Do they make heatsinks like this that I can add to my laptop power brick? xD
