Tried this a few years back. Horrible, did not mix well and the taste was extremely off. Usually, I am not picky, but it was bad.

I have never bought this before.
This stuff kind of sucks.

Optimum nutrition has 0.75 grams of protein per 1 gram of powder.

This has 0.61 grams of protein per 1 gram of powder.

So optimum nutrition has a >20% more protein.

This deal is not nearly as much as a savings as you think it is. All in all about a 17% savings.

I've purchased both the chocolate and vanilla flavors of this brand on deals in the past, and I wouldn't buy them again in general. There is a super artificial weird taste to this brand, and it doesn't mix well.

Considering you're buying protein, I don't think you're focused on the right numbers. I'm less concerned about the ratio of powder, than how much the protein costs. (Unless there's some crazy unhealthy thing in the rest of the powder that's a detriment, like ridiculously high sugar content, or lead or arsenic or something)

This product has 26g of protein per serving, and 50 servings for the container, so you're buying 1300g of protein in total.@ $27.45 (for the 5% SS discount.... which can actually go up to 15% if you have enough items in your S&S delivery)

I'll use the lower 5% discount here. So it's either:
$0.0211 per g of protein or
47.35g of protein per $1

Now do that math for a similar Optimum deal that you're alluding to (say for example, 24g of protein per serving, for 73 servings in a 5lb container for $52)
$0.0296 per g of protein or
33.69g of protein per $1

That's a solid 27% savings on an already discounted Optimum slickdeal.

Out of all the things in those ingredients one could take issue with, kinda funny maltodextrin is the line you won't cross.
might as well cut straight to the point and announce you have no idea what you are talking about

I've used this before and the bloating/cramps were unpredictable. If you can stomach the taste and consistency, and you dont mind all the artificial garbage they put in this, and your gut can deal with it, its a decent deal.

LOL what's happening? I'm considering cancelling (S&S ships in 3 wks) because everyone says it tastes like hell, and here you come with your heaven comparison. Big Grin

I have their regular whey an it mixes terrible. You have to drink a lot of water after cause it sticks to your throat. I got a sore throat the first 2 times I took it before bed.
