I bought one at this price about a month ago. Pretty happy with it so far (especially given GPU pricing overall) but theres a few caveats that I wish I knew about before buying:
- The onboard LED logo can't be turned off, you can only change colors and animations on it. NBD for me thanks to electrical tape, but still a bit annoying.
- The aforementioned software sucks. Use MSI afterburner
- Did not expect the fans to be so loud. I had to play with the fan curves and undervolt in Afterburner so it wasn't so deafening
What is the performance gap between the 4070 ti super and the 4080 super? From what I remember the 4080 super refresh wasn't much better than the regular 4080. The 4070 ti super looks pretty good to me! https://www.zotacstore.com/us/zot...x-open-box
I got a white 4080 Super a few weeks ago. It was defective, fans at 100% and bouncing off thermal limit at stock. Even when power limited to 240W, it was running over 80C. In comparison, a 9070XT at stock 300W is now running in the same case at 65C.
Zotac did accept my return, and I ended up buying a different Zotac - 5070 ti Solid Core. It's running great, with zero coil whine. I returned FOUR RX 9070s before giving up due to bad coil whine.

4080 Super vs 4080 4K rastering is less than 2% difference. Using Tom's Hardware as a guide. 4070 TI Super is 10% less performance than 4080 Super. Zotac Store has a 4070 TI Super near $145 USD less than 4080 Super (both open box). For the money, and if you using GPU card as mostly gaming 4070 TI Super looks like a better deal based on value. If you look to AMD for a solution, RX 9070 XT would be best dollar per frame. Of course 'mileage may vary'. Please see a professional if that Nvidia itch can't be scratched. 😬

im still trying to return it, but im still on the hook for the shipping cost back according to their policies. Even DOA items, you have to pay for shipping back. Ridiculous.
ouch, my first guess would be that the heatsink isn't connected to the GPU correctly. Like the paste or thermal pad slipped in manufacturing...

I would disagree because of 12 gigs of vram on the 70 vs 16 on the 80. Worth the price increase for extra vram headroom.
I was gonna get this card but ended up getting the 5070ti bundle deal from Newegg with power supply and resident evil for $930 couple weeks back for dlss 4.5.
OP just keeps reposting these things every time they drop to this price, kinda seems like just camping the site waiting for the price to drop back to this same price as always.
It helps those waiting but when is the real sale going to happen?

You can just unplug the wires to the logo if you truly can't turn it off.

them days are gone.
840$ for an open box >2yr old card, not top tier card, is pretty crazy though
