The one thing I noticed when I do a bunch of sealing is the cheaper bags with smaller patterns on the one side do not work as well when the sealing surface is warm from doing multiple jobs. It tends to not allow the vacuum to build due to the bags closing up from the warmth.
I bought the foodsaver bags at Costco or Sam's and they are way better than the cheaper bags, especially if you plan on doing 10 or more double sealed bags.
That's just my experience.

Does anyone have any good recommendations on a vacuum sealer? I bought a cheaper one at Walmart last year for $30 and it only lasted a few uses before going bad. The vacuum functionality became weak, resulting in too much air in freshly sealed bags.

I'm always concerned about plastics in my food, so I would prefer to avoid from companies that doesn't have any skin in the game (like no-name Chinese "brands").
