For a few more bucks you can get the V6 which from what I can tell is basically the same but includes roll storage inside. It also comes with 2 rolls 8"x20' and 11"x20' which is probably worth the 5 extra bucks by itself.

I have another brand vacuum sealer that I love, it's got a lot of features.
The one thing I noticed when I do a bunch of sealing is the cheaper bags with smaller patterns on the one side do not work as well when the sealing surface is warm from doing multiple jobs. It tends to not allow the vacuum to build due to the bags closing up from the warmth.

I bought the foodsaver bags at Costco or Sam's and they are way better than the cheaper bags, especially if you plan on doing 10 or more double sealed bags.
That's just my experience.

Ordered the same one a 3 weeks ago. Rarely used. It has already failed. The suction feature no longer works. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps. If the gaskets have failed after minimal use, I cannot recommend it. I'm not sure if generic gaskets will work with this brand. Returning the device to Amazon. Picked up the kitchenbosen and it's been working flawlessly.

Received my V2 the other day tried it today. So much better the my previous Foodsaver! I don't use rolls, I just buy the bags. So far this thing rocks!!

I'm ready to get a new vacuum sealer.

So I bought the V8 to replace my aged food saver that I use all my body weight to force the heat seal on each time. It usually works ok, but some things don't seem to seal like before, especially wet things. Not sure why I chose V8. I guess the marketing sold it. V8>V2. Right? Anyway the code worked and it was $58.

I didn't know how this thing would work but it really works a treat so far. I resealed a bag of almonds, one of the bags where you can only open them once and it vacuum sealed it tight. Much better than an old Foodsaver I had purchased from Costco.
