Another "good to know" data point is that Total Wireless uses Verizon for its service. Great for me, but not for everyone.
$60 a month for one line kills this deal for me, mainly based on the overall cost.
I'd rather buy my own phone than pay $725 to get this one and a year of service. 17e not my first choice, but if it was, and I needed a line, I'd probably do it.
