I loved Yellowface and have been interested in reading more RF Kuang but I haven't had the time, I'm wondering on pulling the trigger on the audiobooks...

For instance, it's like she is taking Santa Claus and has him fight in the Battle of Iwo Jima. Then General Dwight Eisenhour visits Stonehenge, to pray to Quetzalcoatl, so he has the power to take on Jesus, because he is mad about the events of the Holocaust.
Otherwise, the story is entertaining and it's interesting to learn about the origin of the stories that she bases her fictional events on since she has a background in Chinese history. However, just know that it's a jumble of events that don't cleanly map to Chinese history, so it's a bit puzzling that she structured the story the way she did.
