I've never liked ABS but that is mainly back when I was not using an enclosed printer and probably 5 year ago. My go to instead has been PETG. However, there is something to be said for ABS. It does better on things like vehicle interiors as PETG temps top out at 158F and ABS is 208F. PETG might be okay but that extra 50 degrees means a lot.

the reason i use abs is that it sands like non-plastic materials.

if you want to paint an object pla and petg sand like garbage, you have to spend more time doing bodywork than anything else.

abs sands nicely, you can use an abs/acetone slurry to cover layer lines, and acetone vapor smoothing if you want it glassy smooth

It's also far more suited for anything springy. Most standard printing plastics (PLA/PETG) are extremely brittle.

This says the material is "ABS+" but doesn't say what the "+" is. Anyone know?
