No coupon for me.
Also, which is more important, what kind of magnesium salt it is? Could not find it in the description which is kinda weird.

Cheap magnesium you won't absorb.

It's magnesium oxide. I found the supplement label in the item pictures.

If you hate your guts, this stuff is great for violently taking a dump, but not much else.

Magnesium glycinate is widely considered the best all-around form, but the name itself is a general term for the compound. Quality, stability, and absorption can vary significantly depending on whether the magnesium is fully reacted or simply a buffered blend mixed with the amino acid glycine. This is why I always recommend Albion Labs TRAACS (The Real Amino Acid Chelate)--the industry benchmark. It offers a true, fully reacted, and chemically bonded magnesium that won't react with other minerals in your gut (a common issue that otherwise hinders absorption)...and because this specific chelate doesn't pull water into the intestines, it stays much gentler on the stomach than cheaper, buffered alternatives.

I'm taking oxide 400mg for my migraines and it's helping a lot. Enough to where I stopped my daily migraine medicine. I read an article that discussed oxide is more like an ER/slow absorption magnesium. Excess magnesium is eliminated in the urine so too much at a time is a waste. I'll probably try other magnesium down the line to see how I react. Bio-availability is around 5% to 10%

Thanks for the info. Any opinions on Magnesium L-threonate and the blood brain barrier?

very promising because of its ability to effectively cross the BBB and increase synaptic density. If your primary goal is nootropic (cognitive function) it's definitely worth trying. For general magnesium deficiency, it isn't the best choice due to its price tag and extremely low elemental magnesium (2,000mg only provides 144mg elemental magnesium)...you'd be much better off with a high-absorption, more affordable magnesium glycinate.
