The food processor portion is ok. The top portion cannot be submerged under water, so you have to take care when cleaning. Emulsions are not forgiving, and sometimes I give up and throw it into the Vitamix blender to fix it. If on a budget, it's great. If you're looking for BIFL or like to cook a ton, I would get the Vitamix Immersion Blender.

mine had the gear/connector part sheer off. I epoxied it, seems to work, but I can't remove the top and bottom any longer
