Complete noob here. Is the guide board or whatever it's called, is MDF?

Is this part easily replaceable? If so what would you recommend?

Anything in this price range that isn't MDF?

Only the faceplates for the fence are MDF, which is not a problem imo. MDF and similar materials made from reconstituted bits of wood can bow over time when they're carrying a load. If you've ever had cheap bookshelves that sag in the middle, that's why. Like most wood products, including solid wood, it can also warp a bit with changes in humidity. But the MDF in this router table isn't carrying a load, so I wouldn't worry about it. It does look like you could easily make your own replacement faceplates out of any material you want.
That being said, the one-star reviews about the flatness of the aluminum top are somewhat concerning.

I've been eyeing this for a long time since it was near this price range a few years ago. I was going to jump on tit now but after looking through the customer images and seeing that the surface isn't perfectly even on many of them, I am not sure now.

I have ordered 2 of them in different times. And both were bowed. It's really bad for anything precise.
