Wow what an amazing well rounded deal. The 5070 TI version was on sale recently and posted to Slickdeals and if you made all the upgrades shown here like the 32 GB of RAM, the higher screen resolution, the 1 TB SSD and the CPU upgrade. I think it would come out to be $2,000 or more without even considering the massive GPU upgrade to 5080

This is a very good laptop. I own one. Whether you should bite, depends on if you need the rtx5080. I use comfyui and hunyuan3d2, so the 5080 is a plus. It is really a desktop replacement since the GPU is high wattage. Although the screen is not OLED, it is nice and I like it because of the lack of glare. Memory is not soldered and there is an extra SSD slot.

No, it wasn't. It got up to $1900 after the last deal on this which was almost 2 months ago for this price. It only went down to $1800 a few hours ago.
