I have a $100 Evoluent vertical mouse I bought years ago, and decided they aren't comfortable for me. This is a good price to see if a vertical mouse is comfortable for you.

You dropped $100 on a completely new form factor?

That's a decision

Prime is a waste of money for the majority of amazon shoppers. Wish someone could explain how paying $15 monthly is worth it.

It was the only vertical mouse made at the time, and I thought it might help. It was a gamble. Now there are plenty of inexpensive ones.

I've tried this form factor before; It's comfortable but I felt like my hand movement was slower

Used to think the same thing. Once I tried it - I admit, I'm hooked on the convenience. When I have a small item I need for a project - I order it through Prime and typically have it the next day, and don't have to build a $35+ order. If I do that once a month I'm breaking even, doing it twice I'm coming out ahead. Prime Video - gotta admit, I like it. Beast Games is entertaining for the whole family. NASCAR coverage last year was probably the best I've seen in decades.

Shipping is typically $6.99, so you have to order TWO times per month + extra TWO times per year to break even on shipping. And if I need something NOW, not the next day or three days later, I just go to a store.

Making a $35 order is easy for me, I have a "save for later" cart with a lot of "maybe" items waiting for sale price. And groceries are always there as a filler.

Video and games - a personal preference. Sure worth something, so let's say those two extra times shipping is covering it. So now it is shipping of just TWO items per month to break even.

Amazon keeps offering me a free month of prime, so I've tried it a couple of times. Not impressed. It messes up my S&S orders and some small items I bought without S&S arrived in 3 days, nothing ever arrived the next day.

But overall I am glad people are buying prime - it pays for S&S and sale items I enjoy.
