looks like tactics ogre is very similar.. I will say that FF Tactics is a phenomenal story and I've played it probably 4 or 5 times, PS1, Gameboy, Steam, emulated. Highly recommend.

Anyone know how this compares to Tactics Ogre Reborn? I wasn't able to get far and lost interest, but maybe I just suck at these style RPGs.

Played Tactics Ogre, not the remake so take this with a grain of salt. Similar gameplay, but different enough. FFT has unique characters with special classes, a politically driven story, and death is not punished as hard. Also the time system makes spells a bit tricky to land... Sometimes you'll nuke your team on accident.

nice price, but rather have the pc version as the ps5 will inevitably go the way of all the other PS consoles. only seems to be available via steam though for full retail price. can't even buy it direct from SE's site for PC

Love this game as a kid. I still love it. I've replayed the game several times and I'm probably going to replay it again after I finish playing Tactics Ogre.

heard its still just as hard, but you are allowed to leave teh dungeon if you cant do the fight. No more restarting your entire save like the OG. Theres ways to cheese the JP and leveling early in the game if you wish, i did some of it and playing on easy mode. Did my tour of duty on the OG already and not looking to get stuck or spend a lot of time again. But the improved UI and menu system is a real nice addition.
