USB receiver is not programmable to other Logi devices and is tied to your particular unit. Lose it and might as well toss out the KB and mouse.

Worse, the Amazon listing claims it has the Unifying receiver, when it's really the Nano, which like you said, is entirely different. I've bought a slew of the MK270 combos for under $10, so I doubt this combo is worth double for the general office duty either would see.
