Highly recommend this or any other citric acid rinse- it makes a huge difference especially with hard water. Mixing citric acid powder in hot water is always the cheapest but of course it is unscented.
The second scam is odor removal. First of all, how often do you still have odors after using a decent detergent? Most already remove odors, e.g. baking soda neutralizes acidic odors, enzymes break apart organic odors, etc. And of course, virtually all detergents are scented. And that's the scam of most odor removers, e.g. Febreeze air freshener. More often than not, odors are being masked by perfume as much as they're being removed. And that's why this Tide product is scented. In fact, they even tell you to add Scent boosters as well!
Here are the ingredients, most of which are already in your detergent: "Cleansing Agent (Citric Acid), Water Softener (Sodium Citrate), Solvent (Propylene Glycol), Processing Aid (C12-16 Pareth), Stabilizer (Sodium Cumenesulfonate), Fragrances, Water."
Scam, scam, scam!
