This was / is a popular brand uses in scams on various sites. For example, scammers would run ads on YouTube implying that huusk japan knives were hand made by a master Japanese swordsman. As if.
The ones i have say Huusk Japan but are made in China. They do not hold their edge.
Mine came barely sharp out of box but were easy enough to sharpen up. Very soft steel ( in comparision to my quality knives ).
At least to me, they are similar to cheap chinese knives rather than the quality German or Japanese ones in my collection. I have nothing against Chinese made knives and use China made knives daily. The Huusk Japan ones that i have encountered are all novelty knives in comparision. .
I beg everyone to do a quick search on Huusk first. You'll see a lot of talk about how they don't hold their edge long because of the soft steel they're made of. Most reviews look like this: https://youtu.be/JG7ASqBuH3w?si=zGydNBGvVF6BZRB2
