Has anyone tried to use on of these new phones bought from someone else ( or on another account) and then use them on a current account as an upgrade. I can't buy this on my account because I already have 5 Cricket lines but I wouldn't mind one of these as an upgrade. As a current customer they are $599.99. Does your Cricket let you activate one of these phones after the 1 or 2 month plan has been used on another account??

you need swap the eSIM after activation to another unlocked phone i believe. You can do that with Chat AI bot or port number out to cancel the line. The don't cancel the line until 60 days for non-payment.

You can transfer your cricket iphone esim to another unlocked iphone using your cricket iphone to do the transfer. Its under sim then you activate the esim on the new iPhone also under sim No need to call cricket or use chatbot. I have done this several times. Process takes about 5 minutes reboot the target phone after you activate it under the sim setting. If your transferring your esim to an unlocked android then you WILL need to call cricket or use chatbot so that they can generate a QR code for activation.

I was going to keep this phone to use, but the 6 month unlock makes that pretty unattractive.

This has been mentioned a few times in the thread, but how do you handle billing with Cricket if you trade the phone in to Apple? Do you just move to the lowest cost plan and ride it out or can you cancel immediately after trade in and not be billed by cricket?

If autopay is disabled you just let it expire for non-payment it is prepaid service. You are paying upfront for discounted/free phone.

Cricket might update policy later but unlikely they are owned by AT&T. Boost mobile did after lost so much money on $59.99 Edge+ 2023 512GB phones to require minimum 3 month service or charge you full MSRP.

Guaranteed they will change their terms. The unlocks will eventually become longer or promos will be less appealing. Some people are on here trying to buy upwards of 6 phones.

Straighttalk changed their terms and stuck people with longer unlocks. This could happen with Cricket also. Especially with AT&T being the parent company.

I'm stuck and could use some help.

My second device was delivered today and I activated it. Now when I try to add a line, it says: "Activate your other line first."

But when I click the "Activate line" button, it says "Your service is already activated."

Has anyone else experienced this?

Was able to order iphone 13 for line 4 & 5 after first 3 lines were 16e. First order was a single 16e, followed by 2 more 16e. What a crazy deal this has been, ~$240 total spent for ~$1300 in potential apple giftcards
