T-Mobile 30 day eSIM Trial on T-Life App you can port it out for free. I got 4 phones to use on trials from Straight Talk/Total Wireless deals unlocked in last 3 years.

After get Free Trial Number create a T-Mobile ID: Use the T-Mobile website to link your trial number to a email/profile.

Locate Account Info: Your account number in the "Account Summary" section of the online portal. Generate a Port PIN: Under Settings in Profile

For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

I was able to trade in two iPhone 16e at the Apple Store yesterday, no questions asked. It took about 10 minutes in and out. I did activate them but didn't bother to transfer the esim out.
I still have one iPhone 16e left in case I need to log in to Cricket website, and because I'm also waiting for 1 iPhone 16e + 1 iPhone 13 from my 3rd order to arrive next week. This was before Cricket started patching their online order system. In total, I ended up with four iPhone 16e and one iPhone 13. lol.

Could you specify why you need to use a dual SIM phone? I usd Helium and was able to get the phone number, PIN even though I didn't have eSIM. Do they ask you to verify something through your phone number?
B/c I wasn't trying to port out the number that was currently being used for my physical SIM so eSIM alleviated that issue since Helium was able to generate me an eSIM number.

Can you use the chat to transfer the esim to an android phone? Or do you have to call?
I used the chat feature to generate a new esim QR code and moved it to my older Pixel phone and then later did trade in for 16e at Apple store.

So I just made it back home after leaving the Cricket store nearest me, and I came out with a brand new iPhone 16e and everything worked out just like you said it would. I only had to pay for 1-month of service which totaled out to $72 (since the saleswoman probably charged me for their highest tier plan, but Idk) and I ported in my e-Sim number from Helium I paid $1.41 for which is cheaper than Google Voice. Thank you for responding to my comment b/c I was a/b to be depressed once the online deal ended till you saved the day 😁

I concur. $72 was how much I had to pay to leave out w/ 1x iPhone 16e after porting in my phone number.
S/N: I remember the saleswoman telling me that for some reason my address on my ID [being it was required to sell me the phone] was blacklisted which was probably due to me taking advantage of the promo already when I bought my first one online, but I didn't say anything a/b it. Her workaround was to use a different address w/ my zip code since Cricket doesn't really send out letters by mail and if I wanted to I could always change the address after the fact on my account.
Thanks for the in-store datapoint.
You mentioned you already had taken advantage of online sals but the saleperson did not realize there was already a connnection on that address, so did you start of as a new line instead of adding another line to the existing one?

Got inspired and also went on a little Cricket Store trip in Houston. Tried 3 stores, the 3rd had iphone 16e inventory. She was an absolute pro, 2 x iPhone 16e, new customer, 2 port ins (Lyca, Helium), no insurance or cases or activations fees. Total came down to $90, basically phone is free and pay $45 for 1 month of service each. I actually asked her if she meant $90 each but she as like: Nope, its an insane deal, just did it myself. No email address or physical address needed, she just used random or override.

My total for 2xiPhone 16e out the door was $90 in 15min!

This is very YMMV. Cricket stores in my area are charging upwards of $186 per iphone 16e. They are taxing on the full MSRP, adding activation, insurance/protection etc and the highest plan. They are also verifying with ID. If the ID contains previous orders, they are not doing the sale. Looks like this is very dependent on the kind of stores in the area.

Can I take advantage of the in-store deal (as a "new customer") if I already bought devices online using my ID address for shipping/billing? I assume if they require ID at the store that they would be able to look up and see I already purchased using the address. But maybe they don't care??

I agree 100%, the 1st store the agent took out a calculator and did some wild math and gave me ~$230 for 2 iPhone 16e with 2 port ins. When I asked how this price breaks down, he looked at me and just said he remembered that they were out of stock...lol

Nope. When I checked they were checking with ID and asking for the cricket phone number. Their system can readily identify with ID if orders have been placed before. They are also adding tons of fees which make no sense whatsoever. The system does not allow them to order more phones if the address already has one.

In my case she didn't even ask for ID, when I asked her if she needs an email she just looked at me with a smile and replied "only if you want to, otherwise I'll use a random one'…I did not complain. Again, after I saw the final total price I told her I was shocked and was expecting a much higher out the door price.

I bought an iphone16e from cricket by porting in a number I had from lyca. I have yet to activate it.
Now i am planning to give this iphone to my family member. Does cricket allow change of number if my family member wants to port his own phone number to my cricket iphone16e ?
Thx!

Do you mind share the store location of that store? Thanks.
