As you say, iphone to iphone no longer worked for me. And the reps were no help at all. Just a massive waste of time.
I did get one rep who managed to do 'something'. But all he did was duplicate an existing esim I already had on the phone I wished to transfer to. Bizarre and useless.

I did the same thing I had done previously for other numbers, and those worked fine. But they were like a week or two ago, or thereabouts.
It looks like it should work. It does all the regular steps and confirmations. But it conks out at the end.
Already traded the phone in, so can't keep trying. Also felt like I was just wasting my time anyway.
