For Chrome, open incognito page, chose I need a new number, chose $55 plan, enter your zip, hit get new number, hoover your mouse to the top right area near the X then message for coupon will pop up, works for me every time. These $25 off coupon works for only new customer, won't work for existing customer option. I can give you a code if you can't generate one.

Mostly all MVNO are like that. They all run a different game. I had a decent experience at a Total Wireless when buying a galaxy device in store. The difference is that it was a manager handling the transaction. I declined services and he said okay and moved on. No pushing or cramming crap on my line. He also gave me the exact promo found online.
I had an okay experience at one Cricket, although even there I think some of the workers lied to me. One felt like an outright scam (wanted to charge me $250+) and preferred cash.

When I mentioned this to the store I bought from, he said the worker likely wanted to pocket the difference, and 'forget' a receipt, which is why he wanted cash.

Does the cricket math still work out?
$310 (trade-in value)
- $79.99 for the phone
- $60 (or $40 or $20 depending on how many lines)
- $20 to $40 (tax)
- $25 (activation?)

I just went to a Apple Store to use my $310 gift cards and they kept getting declined. As each gift card was entered by the employee, it would show the $310 being applied. When the final gift card was applied, it would say the transaction was declined.

The store employee said the gift cards were flagged as fraud and told me to call Apple Support. Apple Support said the gift cards were locked before they were activated with the $310 and transferred me to the store where I traded in the phones. The store claimed everything was fine but the gift cards still don't work.

Looking at this and the "unauthorized modification" issue that others had, Apple and their stores seem to be running some scam.
These gift cards are still not working for me. If anybody has any solution, please let me know.

Why would the gift cards be marked as fraudlent? Apple is a big company and technically their gift card should NEVER expire and NOT be marked as Fraudlent if they were issued by a Apple store.
In my case, they were flagged as fraudulent and the gift cards still don't work. I am just stating my experience.

You're leaving something out here.

The store that issued them had no response when you said their own gcs came up as fraudulent? doesn't track

Also - why can't you just load them onto your apple account balance??

Not on this offer, but I've had instance where I got GC from Amazon for Apple. I was able to load them up just fine, but whenever I tried to buy a physical product (iPhone) the checkout iPhone at the store the rep was using wouldnt let them use the GC and asked to contact Apple support. I called Apple support and they were saying its all good but couldnt explain why. But it was able to be used towards app store charges. So I felt like even after GC is added to your account, they can flag/block it.

That's pretty shady. It's easy for employees to game the system at these stores. There is usually little supervision by management. Then again it's usually management pushing employees to cram so take that as you will.

This is very alarming to hear. Are you saying that the GC's awarded from Apple might not work and they could be blocked to purchase a physical product? Why would Apple do this? Is this even legal - if you have a receipt showing that the gift card was rendered?
I haven't heard of any big company - such as Amazon or Best Buy - refusing to let users use their own gift cards and blocking them.
Is there a way to check if the gift card is blocked?

The few that have reported the gcs not working reported getting it sorted out with Apple. You say that an amazon bought gc didn't work in store, but could be used on app store? But you claim that after gc is added to account, your account got flagged? Yet you still were able to use it on the app store?

Note that this other user Tealrecess or whatever is a new acct and has only been harping on about how their gcs aren't working. Yet provides no further details on apple's response or efforts to solve the issue with apple. I'm calling BS personally (and I'm not the only one) but just my opinion, of course.

There's a reason certain ports and other loopholes get patched up; one has to presume the company corporates get info from these threads and feed them back to the engineers behind the deal structures.

It's $99 at Metro but $79.99 at cricket. Why would you port to Metro when you can just get new number and redo cricket (cheaper)?
