The company might be monitoring this thread and might have patched the loophole. Fully agree with that. However once a gift card is issued, why would it be declined? How can the company treat a gift card gotten by virtue of a trade in differently from a normal gift card that one might purchase from a store. Presumably a gift card from a reputed company is akin to cash useable at that store.

Hence, numerous reports on this thread about gift cards being declined are concerning at the very least.

Not sure how the math works with metro (at least online). It's $99.99 for a 16e and $49.99 for a 13. Must be on the $50 plan. Not sure about activation fees. Does not seem worth it?

Honestly it didn't make sense to me as well. The amount was added to my account $100 GC, but when I tried to use at Apple Store it errored out and asked me to use the GC with online Apple Store to purchase the phone. But when we tried to do that, the payment failed. But I had subscriptions (AppleCare+ and Apple Music), this was being charged to the Apple account and using that GC without any issue. I called Apple support and they raised for some other team to review, but 24 hrs later they said there is nothing wrong. I honestly don't know what went wrong and I've been burned from trading things to Apple Store as well after it.

I have tried contacting Apple many times. I have tried chatting, calling, and going in store. In store, they say the gift cards are getting declined. When I chat or call, they claim there is no issue and each gift card has the full balance available, so they refuse to do anything.

I have multiple lines and all lines are expired when one line is expired even if I have another line with 2 months prepaid.

So if you have already paid for service for one of the phones, say 3-4 weeks after the initial phone, they will cancel that service just because the 1st phone now is expired?

That is unusually terrible.

They combine all the lines into 1 bill and billing date is first line they prorate each line if you activate later in the month.
