I picked up a couple of Soldiers in 2008 before they changed the design. This knife reminds me of the original Soldier without the extra blades. Great knife.

A Land 910-912 is usually available for around $20 & offers a little better steel & a good locking mechanism, as long as you don't mind buying Chinese. But this thing offers both quality & charm.

Single blade, no tools, no lock.
You can buy the Ozark Trail D2 locking blade with aluminum handle for $10 everyday price.
The orange is now my everyday carry. Useful and durable.

I have a few sak, even one my sister gave me as a boy, but they now sit on my desk or in a drawer.
