I have been buying the Costco versions of a different. brand, 40 ounces for many years. I had one where the insulation just stopped working...another where the straw lid stopped sealing and now I have the regular lid that is finicky about sealing properly. I'm thinking the hydroflask might be an upgrade but I really do like unscrewing the cap and having it flip back and not all the way off.
The problem with straw caps is if you use ice you need to make sure you add enough water first or the ice freezes together and you can't get the straw in. I am not sure the chug cap is ideal from hydroflask either...decisions decisions

I bought one of these 40oz bottles with this deal and I'm not impressed with the ability to keep water warm. Project Farm tested insulated bottles and found that Hydro Flask kept water warm the best, but when I put boiling water in here I can feel how hot the lid gets, and the water won't really be that hot after leaving it there overnight (e.g. midnight to 8am). I haven't gotten the exact measurements with a thermometer yet, but compared to my 1L Zojirushi bottle the Hydro Flask seems noticeably worse.
