They sound really good. Idk what your talking about. The average person won't be able to tell from this and a system that cost 1000 dollars

I just received these a few days ago. I was hoping to upgrade from my 20 year old Polk R50's that I got for $150 from Fry's. They require a lot of power to get loud. My Polks are way my efficient. They sound ok, but definitely a downgrade from what I had. They will blow any HTIB speakers away. For anyone wanting to just try them, return shipping is $49. I think I'm going to try out some Dayton T65s next.

Hey, it's me! I am the average person!! And I have never listened to a $1000 set. Just your average stereo. I wouldn't even consider myself an audiophile. honestly, I think I can't hear very well these days. but the whole mid range sounds like it's in the valley. even with room correction software, all I can hear is the bass and the strings. everything else is just in there somewhere.
Do you have a center speaker? If not, then that's likely the main culprit for hollow mids

I have the Jamo center. I started messing around again. Turns out that switching to dts neural x compensates for the V curve quite a bit. It's tolerable now.

This pair weighs 30lbs. Don't sneeze, they might blow over. My Eosone towers, for instance, weigh about 130lbs.
They are 70lbs combined. I don't where you pull these numbers from.

I'm pretty sure they weigh 30 lb EACH, but still that is super PUNY! I'm also doubting the claimed frequency response of 37Hz - 26kHz (+/- 3dB). I'm not sure I've EVER seen a speaker with three 5" woofers get down that low. Especially since the woofers must have very small magnets due to the low overall weight of the speaker.

I'm not saying these are bad speakers, they are perfectly fine for the low price - but don't expect miracles out of them.
They have two woofers for the low frequency. That's how they produce that range. The third woofer shares the duty for mids.

I was wondering why 3 woofers instead of say a mid-range and woofers. My suspicions were affirmed with your experience. For my use the mid-range is most important.

I got the walnut sub from this set as a second sub to hide in a small corner.

I just wish these sales weren't for the walnut color.

Not sure why all the negativity and what ppl expect from these. I got these few years ago with the center and the back speakers. year later added the Atmos add-ons. Are they the best- no, but heck, show me anything better in this price range. For me - I like how they sound. Yes I could do better if I want to spend hundreds of dollars more, but again, for the price these are great. Unless you are really audiophile, these work just fine, and if you are - probably this is not the right product for you anyway.

For ~$200 shipped with tax, I'll give them a go. These should be a noticeable upgrade from my Klipsch R-51PM's.

They are really trying to get rid of these. They sound ok. The V curve is real.... real pain in the ear.

The engineer that came up with permanently burning the eq preferences into speaker circuit - hope they get into sound hell.
what do you recommend over these speakers?

If I could do it again, I would start with a brand that has a 3-way center and get those towers, preferably also with a three way in those. I narrowed it down to kef r2. Yeah they cost more but seem to be worth it even if I can only get the towers or towers+ center.
