More than worth it for the Mafia trilogy, but almost everything here is worth the $18 on their own.

Mafia 3 only has a 60% Positive rating on Steam? That's absurd, though not unexpected given how poorly some gamers handle having to play as a female or POC character. For the grown ups in the room, this game is worth it just for the chapter that allows you to fire bomb the Klan.

The game is the most average out of all of the Mafia games before it. The story is good, the gameplay is below average. The main character being black did effect its reception, but honestly the game shouldn't be rated any higher than about 70%

The gameplay itself isn't below average; the real issue is repetition. The player tends to do the same actions over and over, which makes the experience feel monotonous. In an open-world setting, this lack of variety becomes even more noticeable

That's a part of the gameplay. The AI was utterly stupid, you could literally stand still and all the enemies would come at you the exact same way every single time over and over. That repetition sets in very early. This was a game I was really looking forward to before it came out and once I got it. Meh. Played the Mafia 1 Definitive Edition awhile after it enjoyed it from start to finish (2nd playthrough, first playthrough was the original release) also played 2 over, 3 just wasn't it. 60% may be too low, but 70% would've been about right imo. Story and presentation carried, I never really looked forward to getting back to playing the actual game.

It has some genuine issues on pc, and there are plenty of games with women or poc's that are rated by gamers just fine

I agree... I put in 97 hours in "Rise of Tomb Raider" on PC which could be considered a good game where you play as a woman as the main character.

It's been a while since I played it so I'm not sure what my personal rating would be, other than higher than 60% positive. Note that Suicide Squad currently sits at 62% Positive.
