The white had an extra $5 coupon for me. Not sure if it's account specific but my wife had it too.

I don't see a $5 coupon on the White tumbler, but I'm glad you do. Thanks much for posting! nod

The aloe 20 oz is showing at $17.48 for me, for those that might be interested in a larger size.

I find this style really hard to take apart the lid to clean.

Yep, I posted that deal HERE but it doesn't seem to be as popular as this deal!

Lots of reviews state the top leaks and the user replaced the lid. The extra lid cost kills the deal for me unless the reviewers are wrong. Any real world experience?

Wait for a SD on a Zojirushi coffee mug (sometimes their 16oz mugs drop to $20-22, and 20oz can be had for $30 or so). I have Hydroflask water bottles but don't think I would prefer this to the Zojirushi, which does not leak, can be flip-opend with one hand and seems easier to wash (the top is easily disassembled /reassembled and dishwashable).

Last time this was posted the concern was with the twisted lid where it will eventually warn and get loosen and leak.

So tempted but I have a "mango" one that looks just like this color from 2016 that still works just fine. They replaced the lid when I had a problem with it too. No leaks for me either. Great company great warranty. Bifl. It is a little annoying to clean the lid but it actually separates into pieces for proper cleaning and more of a me being lazy problem than anything.
The zoji is better for heat retention and easy one handed lid opening and drinking but more office oriented, and it's a little narrow for ice cubes. These are the top two coffee holders in my book

Those complaining about leaking, it's 100% how you put the lid back on. Spout open or closed and how full it is. Make sure the rim is dry. And after refilling and closing, give it a good flick to remove any water that was trapped between the layers or on the rim. After I learned it's quirks I prefer these caps over the chug, straw or stationary lids.
As for cleaning I like that all the pieces come apart and it's easy. Similar to Zojirushi. So far no mold or mildew ingrained in either silicone component, I call that a major win.
