Or it's a marketing brand loyalty strategy to adhere to their commitment to promoting a circular economy while avoiding landfill diversion. It also allows them to reuse trade-in materials.

Yes. I just did in-store and they offered the exact same credit from the trade-in quiz.
do you remember if they collect any of your personal information?
i have 19 items eligible for trade in, i wonder if i can trade-in 10 items at the store & then the 9 items online?

I didn't have a Patagonia account (bought my jacket from REI previously) so the store rep said he needs to create an account, took my phone number, name and email, and then gave me a physical card for store credit.

can anyone tell me if there is some time of expiration on the credit received from the trade-in?

also, interesting that a better sweater that I bought less than 2 years ago does not register or somehow is not eligible. NVN on this. Figured out the 5-digit style number.

No expiration date. I did trade in at the store and received a merchandise return card, similar to gift card. Confirmed no expiration date. Got $280 for a jacket and backpack.

My 10-year old Tech Fleece Hoody that I bought for $42 is trading in for $56 ($49 with shipping label, not driving into NYC just for this). Not sure if I want to trade it in though, since the fleece still looks like new with a bit of pilling on collar and cuffs.

This is a great deal, the technical high end Patagonia jackets are great to me, along with the MLC & large black hole bags. I had a ton of pants & lighter & older bags & other items I stopped wearing that were in my closet, THX! Hope Patagonia does this again in the future!!
