I used the 12L version as a lunch box for 2 years. Worked well and good size for someone looking to carry 2 meals, or 1 with some snacks and drinks. This is the 20, so maybe over kill for a lunch box unless you do 12-24 hr shifts or looking more for a actual cooler for drinks or a beach day. It doesn't keep as cold as my yeti, but that price difference is insane, so I wouldn't expect it to.

We use this as a boat cooler as it's easy and comfortable to carry. It's plenty big for 6 people to have multiple drinks and a cold dish and keeps things cold, but I wouldn't use for anything like camping or keeping food at temp for a full day in a hot car.
