Helps with slip on shoes to prevent heel blow out. If you go with the Wide sizes, it fits really good.

I have very wide feet and the similar Gomels are great in X-Wide.

Got mine. They took the Gomel and made it jogging friendly. The foam above the heel catches it, so it stays more planted in the shoe.

Very happy with mine so far.
