So the trade in offers were a bit higher when going through the Google store rather than going through Google Fi ($450 for Pixel 9 Pro in the store vs $270 in Fi; but $200 off for Google store vs $400 for Google Fi).
The offer was better by $20 in Fi, but I wasn't able to apply the promo since I was still paying off the old phone. Still, going through the Google store ends up being "free" after the trade in, and gives me about $15 of credits, so not too bad! Worth the upgrade.
