I think something that happens a lot with Magic the Gathering deals is that it's usually posted based on the Amazon price history which is not really indicative of market value. Wizards doesn't generally have an msrp but prices should be compared to TCGplayer or MTG Goldfish price history if you're looking for a good representation of whether somethings a deal. In this case Spiderman is a rather bad set and this particular bundle has hovered around 60 to 65 bucks for a long time. Thanks for posting but I'd be sure to check TCP player in the future.

Is it just me or are these special edition sets getting out of hand. Seems like every month there's something new theme related in the MTG world. Getting tiresome to keep up with all of it

Bloomburrow was good, original content. Some time in the last 10 years papa Hasbro just realized that they could make even more money with Universes beyond sets like LOTR, Final fantasy.

Every MTG item has an MSRP. The MSRP on this item was $89.99. TCGPlayer is also inflated. If you want to see what real TCG market price is, check eBay sold values.

what, teenage mutant ninja turtles, final fantasy, spider-man and avatar the last airbender don't fit within the MTG lore and theme? I don't know what you're talking about.

For some reason people just really like to hate the UB sets and UB in general.

That was my first impression as well, when I saw Dr. Who themed sets show up. However, it has evidently been VERY successful for Wizards of the Coast. Evidently it worked to bring in new players.
