LG's 65 inch C5 OLED is landing as a strong value for a brand new premium TV, with the deal price holding at $1,096.99 in some listings and looking especially attractive versus older C3 refurb pricing. The C5 is also being weighed favorably against Samsung's S90F and S90D, with RTINGS comparisons described as very close and price driving the choice. The main friction is checkout and retailer coverage, since the price can jump at purchase, price matching is inconsistent, and third party marketplace orders may not qualify for Geek Squad protection or burn in coverage. It feels like a compelling OLED deal if the listed price and warranty terms line up.

Common Questions (5)

  • Best Buy price matching requires the item to be sold and shipped by the retailer, and the Electronic Express listing has been rejected for price match. The same seller may appear in Best Buy Marketplace, but that route is not eligible for Geek Squad protection.

  • The Walmart/Allstate plan was denied for this listing because it is a third-party seller, so coverage may not be available through that checkout path. For burn-in coverage, Geek Squad is the warranty specifically called out as covering it.

  • The $1,096.99 price can still be live through Best Buy's third-party seller listing, but the checkout total may jump by about $300 plus tax or later show around $1,390. It is worth rechecking the cart before paying because the displayed deal price can change.

  • Electronic Express is described as a legit Tennessee retailer, and the same seller has been used successfully for an OLED purchase before. The TV is also shown in stock at the deal price, which supports that the listing is active.

  • The LG C5 and Samsung S90F/S90D are described as very similar on RTINGS, so either can be a strong choice. The deciding factor here is price, and the C5 deal is attractive enough that it tipped the purchase for someone who already likes the Samsung S90D.

Tried to get Best Buy online to price match but they wouldn't. Prefer to get from Best Buy because I've heard they're easier to deal with if any warranty issues with geek squad warranty
Actually Best Buy market place is selling from the same retailer for the same price but it is not eligible for geek squad protection

I doubt Costco will go that low. Routinely Costco provides extra protection coverage (without burn-in) via AllState as a free bundle, thus it costs more for most part than these standalone deals.

This or Samsung S90F? I really wanted to get LG OLED but I'm currently using Samsung QLED with Samsung 7.1 Speakers. I wanted to upgrade my TV with Samsung again since it feels good to have complete Entertainment set from same brand but I really wanted to try LG OLEDs since their quality is outstanding. I need help to decide on this. Any suggestions to convivence my thoughts?

Those two TV's compare very similarly on RTINGS. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I have the S90D [2024 model] and I love it, [except for the OS] but I just bought this LG C5 today because of the sale price. In other words, I'm happy with either one - it just came down to pricing. If today's deal would have been for the S90F, I would have bought that one, but I'm happy either way.

When I clicked the deal, it showed for the discounted price but when I went to buy it was $300 more plus tax of about $100.

When I clicked the deal again it showed the $1390 price.

Grabbed one to pick up at my local Electronics Express. Then went to Bestbuy to see if they'd price match for extra rewards and the price on the website is different now.

I cancelled my Walmart and bought from BB. When I went to BB, it offered $50 BB rewards additional for purchasing a qualified TV.

How is Walmart Protection Plan by Allstate? I bought Cx about 6 years ago from costco but now it's started having burn in. So I was thinking to just try Samsung this time, but this c5 deal is so good maybe I just go with LG again.
I think geeksquad is the only warranty that covers burn in.

That clears lot of air. Thank you so much!
