LG's 65 inch C5 OLED is landing as a strong value for a brand new premium TV, with the deal price holding at $1,096.99 in some listings and looking especially attractive versus older C3 refurb pricing. The C5 is also being weighed favorably against Samsung's S90F and S90D, with RTINGS comparisons described as very close and price driving the choice. The main friction is checkout and retailer coverage, since the price can jump at purchase, price matching is inconsistent, and third party marketplace orders may not qualify for Geek Squad protection or burn in coverage. It feels like a compelling OLED deal if the listed price and warranty terms line up.
The TV deal price showed as in stock at checkout, which supports buying at the advertised amount.
A brand-new LG C5 at about $1,097 was viewed as a strong upgrade versus a prior C3 refurb purchase around $1,300.
Electronics Express was described as a legit retailer based on a prior OLED purchase in 2019.
Best Buy checkout reportedly offered an additional $50 in rewards for purchasing a qualified TV after canceling a Walmart order.
Best Buy price matching was reportedly denied when the deal could not be matched online.
Walmart Allstate protection reportedly got denied via live chat because the seller was a third-party reseller.
The deal price reportedly changed at checkout, showing about $300 more plus tax after clicking the discounted listing.
Geek Squad protection reportedly did not apply when the TV was sold through Best Buy Marketplace by the third-party retailer.

Those two TV's compare very similarly on RTINGS. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I have the S90D [2024 model] and I love it, [except for the OS] but I just bought this LG C5 today because of the sale price. In other words, I'm happy with either one - it just came down to pricing. If today's deal would have been for the S90F, I would have bought that one, but I'm happy either way.
