These are actually super simple to build, I just built one about a month ago. If your couch is against a wall they are fantastic, and don't need to be perfect since you won't see it. Just a 1x6 for the top and the legs depending on your couch size, buy your own drop in power plugs with USB if you want, and cut the holes with a jig saw. Then add some drop in cup holders and cut them with a hole saw. The only tricky part is cutting around your baseboard so the legs fit flush against the wall. Lots of how to's on YT. Paint or stain to the color you want. I also put felt pads like you would put on the bottom of chairs against the boards so they don't scuff up your wall when the couch pushes against it when you sit down.
Sit on your couch first, and mark where your hands naturally would land to grab a drink. Put the cup holders there. Smilie Pretty fun project, and only about $30. Look for the wood in the "cull lumber" section at the big box stores for half off. Have fun!
Ironically, after I finally decided to do it and finished it....she bought a new couch. LOL That's how it goes!

I'm not sure this is the one I'd get, but this is a cool idea.

It seems like something pretty easy to DIY. I'm not talking anyone out of this one.

Power outlets in these kind of tables are usually not very good quality and that's reflected in the price..:

Lovely, but seems a little short. Perhaps double the length?

If you want your cats to push drinks onto your sofa this is an excellent choice.

I got 2 of these a few weeks ago and they are nice! the trick is to not overload it or it gets cluttered really fast.

IF YOU HAVE BASEBOARDS there are different styles of these tables with cutaways or an overhang that allow them to rest flush against the wall.

Chiming in ith my method for building the same. I had recently installed butcher block countertops over some cabinets in the living space, so I had the spare material to coordinate with that as follows:
  • Tabletop material: Butcher block backsplash to coordinate with my recent living space upgrade.
I got mine from Lumber Liquidators:
    https://lumberliquidators.com/col...width=4+in.
  • Legs: Spare 2x2 pieces
Using the smaller 2x2 size aids with clearing the baseboards along the floor (something called out in an earlier DIY note), though you could similarly use 2x4 pieces if you rotate them to be reasonably centered along the backsplash piece above. Since my design hides the legs completely (see more below) it really didn't matter what these looked like.
  • Brackets to attach the legs to the tabletop
I'm no carpenter, so I opted for SIBBHULT shelf brackets from IKEA. If you're near an IKEA they're a $1 each(!) and should provide a right angle that remains true without any possible flex.
    https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/sibb...-10417734/
I even got fancy and cut the exposed end of the table at an angle to create a miter joint that allowed me to continue the backsplash surface up one exposed side. The other end was left open but covered up by a wall. Depending upon your room configuration, visibility to the underlying legs, and personal preferences you could do this on both sides or neither.

This table has even moved with me as I now consider it functionally part of my sofa. In my new home I added coordinating storage in the sofa's new location out of modified cube storage with added wheels and a coordinating piece of butcher block.

Good luck!
Jon

When you say the outlets are not very good do you mean they tend to get loose after awhile and stuff plugged in will fall out, or do you mean like they'll shock and destroy whatever's plugged into them?
