not a fan of the tekton screwdrivers...got the set a year or so ago. the shafts are definitely thinner than they should be. Just gives it a flimsy feel to it. My background is I went to school at UTI for automotive/diesel technology decades ago....I have bought snap on, craftsman, harbor freight and such and I was an ASE certified master auto technician. My old craftsman screwdrivers are better than these except for the handles. I really wish I had not bought the set

I have a set of the long version of these and I have no idea what you're talking about. The shaft is the same size as the head all the way down, like every screwdriver I've ever used. They are rock solid.

I have a handful of these USA made rubber gripped tektons and like them, I dont think they are made anymore which is why so many are on sale right now. If you like em, buy em now, the new Tektons are German made and a lot different.
