These are some of the most leak proof batteries out there in the inexpensive price tier. I've used over a hundred in various devices so far, and never had one with a leak/corrosion.

Good price for AAs. They recently stopped manufacturing these in the US, they are now made in Indonesia at Energizer factories there.

Costco AA batteries are a little more but made in the US. But this is certainly a good price.

"now made in Indonesia..." which explains why they are being sold through Amazons waste bin named Woot.

Agreed, and I've also had good luck with Energizers not leaking. Duracells are notorious for leaking; they're great batteries for active use, but I wouldn't leave a Duracell inside any device for more than a few months. It's generally a good idea to remove batteries from devices if they're not in active use.

But I've also had a sealed pack of Duracell AAs leak shake head

That and they seem to have a high failure/leak rate based on reviews.

Either they work well and last a decent amount of time. Or they leak and can damage things.

I have had very bad experience with Ray o Vac. Batteries leak after 2-3 years in indoor climate controlled storage, or in devices, three different batches both AA and AAA. Ray o Vac customer service and 10 year warranty support is worthless. I sent numerous batches of pictures and information, and they just keep asking for more. I finally just gave up. I will not purchase Ray o Vac again.
