I purchased it, comes 2 year warranty. I was on the fence because according to spec sheet it's 105 watts. My laptop in nvidia control panel shows 115 watts. I did timespy it's like 13.3k and took it apart, everything is same as legion 5 pro. Even says pro on Costco box.

A lot of misinformation about this model online so I bought it to find out. It's very much a 5 pro full watt 115 with 2 year warranty and 90 day return, no reason to not check out if you're curious

Decent deal. Was $1199 in November/December, but prices have increased since. Best option for a non-OLED gaming laptop with Lenovo outside of their workstation Thinkpad line or their budget LOQ laptops.

Very powerful CPU, although the GPU is a bit underwhelming

I hopped on it now as it has 90 day return policy, if I see stores clearance they out I can return rebuy, or if I see a way better deal.
prices are going up, videos all over YouTube stating manufactures publically stated there's a 20-40% price increase incoming. Sucks.
5060 may not be the top, but I played Palworld and other games last night and was very happy. The screen is beautiful, I actually chose this over the OLED models on most legions because I don't want burn in.
that said, il prob be doing a ton of emulation, I bought this to be a steam machine for me, steam and emulation

This AI bullshit has destroyed the PC market... grabbed a 5070 laptop for $700 under a year ago.. if we keep consuming at this prices, they'll continue to stick it to us.

I bought a 4060 laptop for 400-500 2 weeks ago then sold for 700 2 days ago. I took the profit and added to this. - the laptop was great, but I wanted a new pc new to me with full warranty after having it a few days- also the vents on the back 100% is way better than the one I bought, the vents blew back and sides and got my mouse hand warm

This config likely wouldn't have been sub $1000 outside of clearance/black friday even before the AI crunch. It seems confusing because it includes a 5060, but it has the ultra 9, 32gb ram, and a 240hz screen driving a lot of the cost. It's more of a productivity type config with dedicated graphics than purely a gaming one. $1299 would have been just an okay sale price 6 months ago, but times have changed. Also, a lot of manufacturers like to add higher sku # graphics cards to weaker cpus and less ram for marketing to the gaming first mentality. You can find a few 5070 skus cheaper than this from lenovo, but they have 16gb ram and and the ultra 7 instead.

I was torn, because I had a few options. I saw the 1061 legion 5 pro 14650hs + 5060 16gb and ips screen yesterday. Vs this 1299. I figured 100 dollar ram upgrade and 100 dollar cpu upgrade justified it. Plus I liked the grey more less finger prints, and 90 day return, and 2 year warranty. That has to count for something and 2% Costco member cash back which is $27. So just 200 diff between the one Lenovo had and this Costco one

Its a good choice. With how turbulent the hardware market getting the best you can afford is the better move. Most preconfigured laptops/desktops available in stores are still currently cheaper than the sum of their parts because of the wild fluctuations right now. That and buying from costco over lenovo direct is a no brainer for returns sake if there is a wild price decrease or issue.

I really wanted to wait til March 29 Last day to optimize possible price drop
But I want to play games, so. Yeah. Whatever if price don't drop, I don't see things getting cheaper later this year. I saw a 5070 model With weaker CPU's but they aren't from Costco so didn't go that route
that said, how decent a deal is this at 1299? I wanted IPS because I don't want burn in, the screen is bright and honestly beautiful. Very happy with that—— big complaint is ctrl is now copilot. I found a way to remap it, but whose idea was it? Why couldn't copilot just be its own button somewhere.

Do you think my laptop is equal or weaker or stronger than the steam machine coming out? Because I really like the idea of it. But with hardware prices. I figure just get a laptop now and it can be my steam machine

I havnt hooked it up to my 4k tv yet, don't really know how or what settings I need to do so. But that's my goal, emulation older games and playing games like Palworld on my tv. Hope it can do it decently

so i am not a savvy person per say, but ive been playing palworld on performance mode with a little like 10 dollar laptop cooler, it says im gettign 100-110 watts on the overlay, and its staying about 72-74c in general at 98% useage. i do have frame gen x2 on, and its like 100-115 fps. this is good yeah? CPU utulizatioin is like 10-12% lol. this cpu, must be insanely strong.

speakers sound really quite good once you get the laptop set up and get the naharmic software up and running, th demos at store running windows demo was so bad i was really hesitant to buy it.

think this is the best pc for me curently, super nice and bright IPS screen, 32gb ram, 5060, and strong cpu. whatever, rest is just noise. its actually really nce, and i already downloaded all my older games to run through and enjoy.

my questiion is, can i hook tv up to my laptop and run palworld on there? if i run the same 1440p on the 4k tv, s iti going to look awful? will it even run it on the tv?

to answer your question about running on TV - this laptop may be able to run palworld ~60fps on a 4k Tv at 4k, i guess? yes this laptop seems like a pretty good deal in

Is it worth getting a Costco Excutive membership and Costco Visa card? Does it add anything except $65 cash back?
