As a heads up, this is their high torque model which is quite large and heavy. Unless you know you need the high torque model, you may want to wait on a deal for the mid torque.

This is the "ludicrous" torque model, the DCF900 is the regular high torque, the DCF891 mid torque is more than enough for a lot of folks as mentioned, and honestly the average DIYer would probably be fine with a DCF921 compact model. This wrench doesn't ever get very cheap, but this doesn't seem like a deal at all TBH, I think it's been this or not much more with a battery or two.

I have an older DCF899 which is probably close to the DCF900 in terms of torque. It has no problem with removing harmonic balancer bolts, lugnuts, etc. I'd be a little worried having 50% more torque with this thing. Unless you need something this powerful, you might end up breaking far more in value than you're saving with this!

I just used this tonight to set some anchor bolts in concrete. Screw mode is so smooth and full power mode came in handy when I had to do some suspension work. Just waiting for a tractor to break down so I can put it through the full ringer. It's definitely not light but it's not like I'm ever removing 20 bolts in a row.

This will take the lug nuts off of a semi truck with ease...

The car will flip over and the lug nut won't move lol. This is overkill and if you tighten instead of loosen you will do damage

I have the DCF899 as well. It hasn't failed me yet! It was long in the tooth and not quite as powerful as the the best from Milwaukee so DeWALT had to make the DCF900 just to prove they could beat them... and then they kept Project Ludicrous under their wing until Milwaukee dropped their response to the DCF900. That's when the gloves came off and they dropped the ludicrously-powerful DCF961!FWIW, the trusty old DCF899 was rebadged as the Craftsman CMCF940 (my friend has/loves this) and the Porter Cable PCCF940 (Tractor Supply Co exclusive). I still see the DCF899 being used by YouTube mechanics like South Main Auto and Rainman Ray Repairs. Well, the later was routinely borrowing it from a shop mate even after his RIDGID impact was replaced but that shop mate has recently moved on. WinkIt's good enough for the pros so I don't feel compelled to upgrade to DCF900 or 961.

I have the Ryobi with 1170 breakaway torques and 700 fastening. It is more than sufficient for any normal and most abnormal persons. I suggest saving a few bucks and getting another model.

Couldn't recommend this less. But the bullet on it 1-2yrs back, barely use it, brand new batteries full charged. Tried changing my rims in the middle of winter and the tool simply would not work. Used the tool about 5-10 times in its entire life.

Can this remove the anode rod of a 15+ years old water heater?
