Would only matter if connecting via HDMI to a monitor/tv that does over 30HZ and you want to view content at the higher refresh rate. This isnt capable of gaming at that level and very little streaming is 4k/60 so I dont think it matters at all.

HDMI 1.4b? That limits it to ~30 Hz at 4k.

Ok, before I pull the trigger. Is that important? And why?

If you'll run it at 4K resolution, you will notice flicker.Edit: that said, it's not a gaming machine, and it only matters if you connect it to an external monitor.

We have the Ryzen AI5 340 variant of this for 3 months now.
Great laptop that turns into a monster tablet if you want to use it that way.

Well build.

I think this one here is this one:

If you ever hook it up to a TV to play movies just set output to 1080p wich is 1/4th of 4k and it will perfectly scale on a 4k TV

The USB-C ports support DP 1.4 as well so it's not like you don't have options for higher resolution/refresh rates.

How does this compare to Acer Swift Go or Aspire ignoring the tablet aspect? Acer has refurbished ones for $400 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD with Intel Ultra 5 processor.

So is the CPU...and the varistors...and capacitors...and voltage regulators, and the USB ports, and the resistors, and inductors, and....what is your point?
LPDDR5 = lower power usage + no sockets or stacked (RAM) PCBs = longer battery life + slimmer profile. Win win.

I just bought a Vivobook with basically all specs the same from Best Buy for $645 total. Now wondering if this Ideapad is the Slicker Deal?
