I use this every day, I think this is a solid deal. I've utilized The Ordinary's internal "Subscribe and Save" system and it has gotten close to this price but this slightly beats it!

How natural is this product? Any downsides?

Niacinamide is already in most skincare products such has toners, lotions, moisturizers, even sunscreens. This is redundant and a waste of time if you already applying any of the above.
Also too much Niacinamide can also irritate skin so make sure you actually need it if you are already using other products that potentially have it already.

It's a small discount since Ordinary products are pretty inexpensive but 15% off is 15% off!

One thing to check is if any of your other products contain niacinamide. I recently got the CeraVe AM lotion which has it, though it doesn't say a percent ):, but while I use that I switched to only using this in my PM routine.

Well it's necessary for life and your body naturally produces it, so, yea. Obviously it's not necessary to slather it on your face to live, but you would die quickly without it because you would no longer have a functioning metabolism.

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. Products like this containing it will have likely been produced via chemical reaction, but it also naturally occurs in things like yeast, meat, milk, some vegetables, etc.

Like anything you can be allergic or have a reaction based on your own custom biochemistry. It happens, but is fairly rare which is why niacinamide is considered a pretty safe ingredient and is often put in many skin care products.
