Same price for aluminum or Stainless Steel, cheaper than previous post from Woot that was supposedly new condition. Although in that thread people said was used and not new when received.

Potentially worth it for the Stainless Steel models (For sapphire crystal and more durable stainless steel case). Also since they come from Apple and have a one year warranty (I think generally Apple replaces the battery). To me at least the Aluminum model is not worth it, especially when Stainless is the same price.

Hmm I just got a refurbished stainless series 8 45mm with milanese loop for $169. Still in the return period from Best Buy. Is this a better deal? The one I got is in pretty good shape, perfect display but does have some case scratches from the band, and is at 87% battery heath. The specs aren't that much better for the S9 but I'm enticed by the 1 year warranty and presumably better shape over all (apple cert refurb, scratches, battery health). Worth an extra $80?

I bought that deal and can confirm at least mine was brand new sealed and not refurb.

I would stick with that. I'm interested in this because I think the processor on the S9 is an upgrade over the S8, but if I could have gotten a S8 for $169 I would have gotten that instead.

Apple refurbished products are just new without retail packaging box. Screen, outer shell, battery, charger, cable are all brand new. They are the best refurbished products on the planet.

Apple produced the best refurbished product. The screen, frame, battery, cable, and charger are all brand new, except for the absence of the retail box. Please refer to all other products as "used" since they are not even comparable. If you have the opportunity, consider purchasing this one. It will be a brand new watch, just without the retail box.

Supposedly still available new: https://electronics.woot.com/offe...-brown-box but Woot is not always accurate with their descriptions.

It seems that Apple is now following a 3-year major upgrade pattern for the watches. ... , 6-8 and 9-11 essentially share the same SOC/CPU, with some slight tweaks / modifications within the 3 year models. I expect a major CPU upgrade this fall.

So, if you want to get the cheapest deal on the same CPU then the 6 and 9 are the ones to get, everything else is some slight add-on feature or extra mm in size. 9-11 are also the ones that can actually do some decent international roaming, though nothing is a global watch. I went from 4-7-10 and will see what the 12 brings and then likely get a deal for the 12 once the 13 or 14 show up. Big Grin
I can highly recommend the SS models! The harder glasses and harder frame make all the difference.
