So this is a good deal, but not killer, for an everyday grilled like me who doesn't know the difference between regular and competition charcoal. I did see at my HD some brand of XL charcoal briquets that were on clearance and were .50 per pound. Sorry I didn't snap a picture for posting, but .50 didn't seem like a killer deal so it didn't really strike me to post it here. I've always used kingsford and Sam's and Costco tend to have it at every day prices of about .55 or so, so I just buy that barring a great deal elsewhere.
I switched to Cowboy briquettes, $18 for 40lbs at Walmart. They perform just as good as these, but cheaper.

Side note, I usually indirect cook and add additional chunks of hardwood for smoke and these briquettes are much better for that task.
