Crazy. The enshitification continues; the 5th demake of the shoe that was on sale for $20 regularly just two years ago declines in quality and has been on "sale" for three months straight, now going for $40 even after all of these companies are double-dipping and getting tariff refunds for the extra money they bilked out of consumers/tax payers.
The real problem is we as consumers continue to give them money for this crap. If you want things to get better, stop paying.

Costco occasionally has shoes like this for about the same price.

Best shoes I have ever owned and I'll never get anything else. I promise the people here with whiney rants about geopolitics or whatever have no clue about the actual shoes

Decent price, but for buyers looking for Slip-ins, these aren't. Scroll to the bottom of OP's link where there are Slip-ins... easily recognizable by the curved back similar to a built-in shoehorn.

I don't believe these are the true slip-ins. They don't have the slip-in heel at the top. Nowhere are they described as "slip-ins"
Just says easy slip on with elastic sides.

How do they hold up for every day wear?
