Crazy. The enshitification continues; the 5th demake of the shoe that was on sale for $20 regularly just two years ago declines in quality and has been on "sale" for three months straight, now going for $40 even after all of these companies are double-dipping and getting tariff refunds for the extra money they bilked out of consumers/tax payers.
The real problem is we as consumers continue to give them money for this crap. If you want things to get better, stop paying.

This slick deal post was edited to show a completely different shoe for sale at a completely different retailer. Why does slick deals even allow that?

Yep! So true. It's strange how people make excuses for company's overcharging. How many times to you read people writing, "well we have to keep inflation in mind.: When some prices have gone up 20-30% . if we will pay it, company's will overcharge us. No doubt
