I have removable AA battery version from Walmart that I use with Amazon NiMH AA batteries. I prefer the option to swap batteries when they die.
Also, I did try some Lithium AA batteries from Amazon. WAY too hot for my taste. The NiMH do get very warm also, but they hopefully won't explode due to that.
