This was $372 for last few weeks..went up to $378 now. Same configuration Aspire with Ultra 5 is also $372. Any recommendations?

Will Acer install new battery for their certified refurbished laptops? Also, how old can that laptop be?

Bought this model for my sister. It arrived in a box with the laptop, charger, and a laptop bag. Decent packing. Build quality seemed nice, didn't see any scratches on it, and you can open the screen while using one hand. Once i plugged in the charger and booted the system I knew exactly why it was returned before. The fan was super loud, sounded like a server fan. The laptop was heating up really fast and it was slow. In order to fix these issues I had to update the drivers, Windows, BIOS, and delete the pre installed bloatware. The laptop seems to be fine now and I told my sister if any of these issues happened again that we would return it. She hasn't complained in the 2 weeks she's had it, I guess we'll keep it. Also, off the top of my head, it was manufactured in mid-late 2024. If I had the more budget I would probably get the new macbook neo which is $599. It should have great battery life and support. Its great as long as it fits your needs.

Are you talking about Acer Swift Go? I heard lot of complaints about loud fan sound and heating. Good to know that bios update fixed it. Mac Neo is excellent price but I'm a normal Windows user..

I tried the 16 inch version and returned it. The fan noise was irritating. I updated the BIOS (UEFI) and it didn't help.

Can I know the return time period and did the return shipping cost you? Did you talk to Acer for return or eBay?

The windows setup and downloading update, gaming is always loud.
After a few days, it shouldn't be loud playing videos and web.

I purchased this and it works great for my use, I have a separate gaming PC so this is mostly used for productivity purposes- my only complaint is a weird coil whine sound that pops up occasionally- otherwise it works great for me. I could see how the fan noise could irritate some though. Anyone else experience that?

Received the laptop. Even after all updates and removing all bloatware, fan sound is noticeable as many complaints suggested. initiated a return. Everything else was very good though. I would have kept it if not for the fan sound.
